My grandpa, Sem Prak, was a Khmer refugee who overcame incredible challenges to build a life for his family. He loved his family deeply and was the proud father of seven children. Tragically, he had to bury one of his own children just months before his own passing. Now, he leaves behind not only his children but also twelve grandchildren—ten girls and two boys—who are all mourning his loss.

After being in a coma, my grandpa, Sem Prak, passed away, leaving our family heartbroken and facing the difficult task of arranging his funeral. The costs are overwhelming, and we want to give him the respectful farewell he deserves. Sem Prak’s strength, love, and sacrifices shaped our family, and we want to honor his memory in the best way we can.
