Help Honor Sandra Lee Fazio's Memory

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Sandra Lee Fazio who died unexpectedly in her home in Marion, Ohio at the age of 72 after battling a long-term illness. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who left everyone she loved better for having known her and filled with memories of happiness and belonging. Sandy was super smart, passionate about everything (especially science, nature, and our furry four-legged friends), had a big heart, and loved to feed people and give them good advice whether they wanted it or not!

Sandy was born into a large Sicilian-American family with four sisters in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent her early adulthood as an Air Force wife raising her two children, Tamara and Aaron. Later as a single mother, Sandy put herself through nursing school and spent years caring for others, comforting and healing them during their most difficult times. After a car accident ended her nursing career, Sandy found new ways to care for others, providing childcare in her home to many wonderful children, including her two grandchildren Meka and Maya. Her family, two children, and two grandchildren were her greatest joy and motivation.

Life was seldom easy for Sandy, and money was always an issue, but her hard work and spirit defied adversity. She left very little behind — mostly grieving hearts of loved ones — so as we navigate this difficult time, we ask our community for support.

To honor Sandy, and give her the farewell she deserves, we are collecting donations to help cover the costs of her funeral services and other expenses. Your generosity will help us provide a dignified and loving tribute to Sandy, celebrating the life she lived. Any contribution will be deeply appreciated.
