Hello, my name is Leslie. I’m the daughter of Samuel Cuellar. Unfortunately, yesterday on October 14, I received news that my father has passed away. I’m absolutely devastated. I loved my dad, and I never imagined my life without him. He was a hard working man and did everything to take care of his loved ones, unfortunately it was cut short but he knew everyone around him loved him and cared for him. He would walk for miles or ask for rides from friends just to come visit me, and if he couldn’t, he would call, and we would be on the phone for hours joking and giving me some lectures and advice. My Spanish isn’t good, but he was always patient with me and willing to listen to my stories. I know he loved me because he would tell me multiple times a day and would thank me when I said it back. He always looked intimidating to strangers, but if you knew him, you knew he was a sweetheart. He always took care of his family and friends in any way he could. He would give money if someone needed it, even when he didn’t have much. He saw my sisters as his own and loved them just as much as me. He also cared for and loved all of his nieces and nephews just as much. He loved his family, and we all love him. I wish I could give him one last hug and kiss. I already miss him so much. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DAD!!

Hola, mi nombre es Leslie. Soy hija de Samuel Cuellar. Lamentablemente ayer 14 de octubre recibí la noticia de que mi padre falleció. Estoy absolutamente devastada. Amaba a mi papá y nunca imaginé mi vida sin él. Era un hombre muy trabajador e hizo todo lo posible para cuidar de sus seres queridos, desafortunadamente fue interrumpido pero sabía que todos a su alrededor lo amaban y cuidaban de él. Caminaba kilómetros o pedía favor a sus amigos solo para venir a visitarme, y si no podía, me llamaba y estábamos hablando por teléfono durante horas bromeando y dándome algunos sermones y consejos. Mi español no es bueno, pero siempre fue paciente conmigo y dispuesto a escuchar mis historias. Sé que me amaba porque me lo decía varias veces al día y me lo agradecía cuando se lo respondía. Siempre parecía intimidante para los extraños, pero si lo conocías, sabías que era un amor. Siempre cuidó de su familia y amigos en todo lo que pudo. Regalaba dinero si alguien lo necesitaba, incluso cuando no tenía mucho. Él veía a mis hermanas como suyas y las amaba tanto como a mí. También cuidó y amó a todos sus sobrinos y sobrinas por igual. Amaba a su familia y todos lo amamos. Ojalá pudiera darle un último abrazo y beso. Ya lo extraño mucho. ¡¡TE AMO MUCHO PAPÁ!!
