On Friday, July 4, 2025, our mom, Ruth Anne Killough, was enjoying her morning walk when she was tragically struck by a vehicle. Ruth devoted the majority of her life to serving others through education. We have felt the warmth of her former students and enjoy hearing their stories. She frequently told us stories of time spent with the many new friends she made through local groups playing dominoes or bingo. She always looked forward to being involved in the community.

We will be sharing details of her memorial service as soon as arrangements are made. We want everyone who valued her to be able to pay their respects. Any support provided here will first be going towards certain costs associated with this loss. Any remaining funds will go towards local scholarships for students seeking higher education, which we feel is the perfect way to honor her memory.
