Help Honor Ruby's Final Wishes

It is with extreme sadness that we announce that on Friday, May 2, 2025, our grandmother, Ruby Capps, passed away, peacefully with my mother, Lisa, by her side.

Ruby has spent the past year, here in Florida under my mother, Lisa’s, private care. She has been the sole rock and supporter of my grandmother. Originally, traveling to and bringing my grandmother to Florida from Tennessee last May, where she had to be taken to have surgery due to an injury while at home with little to no help. Dealing with the recovery of that surgery and all her other needs, my mother had been her in home and around the clock caregiver. Unable to work, herself, the entire time. Things were going just fine until an unexpected stroke that occurred on Ruby's birthday, April 22nd.

The family is asking for help with her cremation and funeral expenses. We want to make sure Ruby’s last wishes are honored and that she receives the memorial she deserves.

Some of the expenses we are asking for help would include the cost of the funeral home, prior to retrieving her urn. Then, we have to travel to North Carolina, where she has lived for many, many years, to lay her to rest next to my grandfather.

We, generally, hate asking for help, but we are in need. Family, friends, anyone... If you can, please, consider donating. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and would help ease the financial burden during this difficult time.
