Hello my name is Jenice Phillips. I am reaching out to my community and friends to ask for help during this hard time. My husband Ron Phillips passed away this week from his long battle with thyroid cancer. He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2008 and had fought for many years to stay healthy. He was doing great until 2021 when he came down with Covid. We found out his cancer had spread to his lung and from there we knew we were in for a fight. we thought everything was going ok until April 28 2024. We had realized that there some major issues that had taken place and we were not sure how or if they could help Ron. Ron’s cancer started to spread fast and took 3 of his ribs. He had a mass in the outside of his right side and he was in a lot of pain. The doctor was shocked and didn’t see this coming. They decided to change his chemo medication and give him radiation. This just made matters worse. Ron’s cancer spread again to his brain. The time we figured all this out and I brought him home to be with me it was days. We thought we had more time but we didn’t and I am happy that I got to spend his last days with him at home and surrounded by his loved one. Ron loved all of the people in life and now he needs your help. I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t have to but I need help with Ron’s service and the money for his burial. Ron didn’t have life insurance and in his last couple of months his medical costs took my savings. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Thank you again to anyone willing to help.
