On September 8, 2025, loving parents Ron and Julie were driving home to Arizona from Ohio after visiting their daughter, who recently lost her husband to cancer. Traveling with them was their 11-year-old grandson, Felix.

While on I-40 near Amarillo, Texas, a semi-truck crossed the median and struck their vehicle head-on. Ron and Julie were killed instantly. Felix was critically injured and received blood at the scene before being airlifted to a pediatric ICU. Despite every effort, Felix later succumbed to his injuries.

This unimaginable tragedy has left this family heartbroken and facing unexpected expenses. In addition to funeral costs, the family must also cover the significant expense of transporting Ron, Julie, and Felix from Texas back to Arizona so they can be laid to rest at home.

Many of you have asked how you can help. While Ron and Julie had a will, there were no provisions for these overwhelming costs. Your generosity will help us get them home and give them the dignified farewell they deserve.

Any funds raised beyond funeral and transportation costs will be donated to two causes close to their hearts: Men’s Practice Ministry and missionary Matt McClure, both of which Ron and Julie actively supported.
