Help Honor Roland’s Final Wish

Donation protected
Roland was more than just a truck driver—he was the heart of our family and a friend to everyone he met. As a proud member of the Jamaican community and my mom’s high school sweetheart, he brought laughter, kindness, and faith into every room. Roland loved his work as a truck driver, even though he didn’t get to do it for long. He treated everyone with respect and warmth, spreading the word of the gospel and living his life with a big heart. Even in small moments, like tucking a napkin into his shirt before a meal, he reminded us to find joy and humility in everyday life.

Recently, while sick, Roland suffered a stroke from the intense Florida heat, which reached 105 degrees. When he was taken to the hospital, doctors discovered a rare infection in his chest. Just two days later, his heart suddenly stopped, and he passed away. His only wish was to be buried, not cremated, and to rest near his mother in Fort Lauderdale. Unfortunately, there is no space next to her, but we hope to lay him to rest nearby. If we can’t raise enough, we will have to cremate him and bring his ashes to his mother’s resting place. Life insurance will not cover all the costs, and my mom is left to handle everything on her own.

We are asking for help to give Roland the burial he wished for, as a final gift from our family. Any support will go directly to my mom to cover funeral expenses and help us honor Roland’s memory in the way he deserves. Thank you for reading and for any help you can give.
