Update: Rita passed away on May 7th, 2026 at 2:52pm at her home with her family surrounding her.

Rita has always been the heart of our family, known for her kindness and gentle (sometimes spicy, lol) spirit. Many years ago, she was diagnosed with dementia, and just a short time ago, she suffered a massive stroke. Now, she is on hospice care, and doctors believe she may only have about a week left with us. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family as we prepare to say goodbye to someone so dear to us.

As we face these final days, we are also confronted with the reality of funeral expenses. Rita did not have life insurance, and covering the full cost of her arrangements has become a significant challenge for our family. We want to honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves, but we cannot do it alone.
