It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Rick Artery. Rick was one of the toughest people I’ve ever known. He was strong, lived life on his own terms, and built deep connections with the people around him—especially my dad, Rick Boyle, and many longtime friends. Rick had his struggles and sadly, that battle took his life. Even through those struggles, he was someone who mattered deeply to the people who knew him, and his loss is being felt in a big way.

Now, his family needs support to properly cremate him and give him the celebration of life he deserves. We know Rick would want the people from all parts of his life to come together—his friends, his family, and those who stood by him—to honor and remember him. My name is Kaetlyn Doss, and I have offered to help Ruben Artery, his four children, and family coordinate this GoFundMe and assist in planning the celebration of life. All funds raised will go directly toward Rick’s cremation and memorial expenses and will be managed by his brother, Ruben Artery, to ensure everything is handled appropriately.
