Help Support Raymond's Final Arrangements & Memory

My name is Joshua Paret, some of you may know me as DJ Expo, others know me as Ray's son. Sadly, my father Raymond passed away on September 9th, unexpectedly, and I can really use your help with the financial burden I and my family are now faced with.

I'm raising money to help cover the costs for my dad's final arrangements and memorial fund. Money is desperately needed as my father didn't have a life insurance policy, will, or any plans worked out for his passing, so every dollar helps.

Some of the current goal set includes covering the following:

• Cremation costs, a remains box, and death certificates.

• Memorial service costs for a location, food service, and materials.

• Storage costs. A lot of my dad's personal belongings have been in storage since he lost his house several years back, and the units are now overdue and in jeopardy of being put up for sale. We will also be facing covering future months of storage costs as it will take time to sort through the multiple units of belongings.

• Travel costs for me to fly back home to LA, since I now currently live in Berlin.

• Logistics for relocating belongings we will be holding onto.

• Estimated cost for hiring a probate lawyer to help navigate the transfer of ownership of any assets, property, or things like residuals/royalty income my dad still had to his name.

We are still determining a lot of other unknown costs involved with this difficult process. Some of the other costs to still be determined and currently not included in the goal:

• Unpaid debts.

• Unpaid medical bills.

• Loss of work / Time off from working. I am self-employed and have already been faced with some heavy financial hardships recently, before my dad's passing, and now need to cancel some gigs so that I can travel back to LA to deal with the arrangements.

Every dollar raised that exceeds our goal will be used to help relieve the growing financial burdens I'm facing during this time of grieving. I'm currently the sole earner in my family, with my wife and 2 kids to provide for, and am unfortunately in a lot of debt with no emergency funds at the moment. My wife and I are dealing with some major health challenges of our own as well that we haven't had the means to cover. I'll be selling some personal belongings of my own like records, DJ + studio gear, and more, as well as picking up some last-minute gigs where I can in between dealing with everything else, to help offset some of the funds needed for everything.
