A Daughter’s Plea: Help Fund My Father’s Cremation

Hi, I’m Ayoe Rydiander, daughter of Poul Rydiander - better known as “Poul Rudi” from the original legendary Danish quartet Four Jacks. My father passed away on June 2, 2025, and I’m struggling to give him the dignified farewell he deserves. Sadly, my dad didn’t have life insurance, and the cost for his cremation is $2,000, not including a memorial or ceremony to celebrate his life. As his only family here in the U.S., my sister and I are trying to honor his wishes by sending his ashes to Denmark, where he always dreamed of returning. There, his best friend James (the last living member of the Four Jacks) will hold a special memorial for him. I’m also planning a celebration of life ceremony here, featuring a choir performance by Voices of Our City, along with a slideshow and music that showcase my dad’s legacy. I want to record this ceremony and share it with his friends, family, and fans in Denmark. This has been an overwhelming time for me. Between grieving and figuring out how to manage all the costs, I’m exhausted. I never thought I’d need to ask for help, but here I am, praying for your support.
