I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for a cat named Pete, who recently came into my life under heartbreaking circumstances.

I found Pete, who suffered from severe third and fourth-degree burns, and I brought him to the emergency vet as soon as I could. The extent of his injuries was devastating, and after evaluation, the medical team confirmed that treatment would be long, painful, and likely cost over $10,000—an amount his family simply couldn't afford.

After compassionate discussions and expert advice, they made the incredibly difficult decision to humanely euthanize Pete to end his suffering. He was surrounded by care, love, and warmth in his final moments.

Pete was truly the sweetest boy—gentle, loving, and trusting even in pain. He deserved so much more time, and we want to make sure his final moments and resting place are handled with dignity.

We're now raising funds to cover:

* Cremation fees

* A small memorial to honor his life
