My name is Melissa Thompkins. I am attempting to raise funds in order to bury my mother, per her wishes. Unfortunately, when she arrived to live with me and my children, I was too late to purchase any additional burial life insurance for her due to her being bed bound. After nine years of her returning to New Jersey, living with me and boys, watching them grow and flourish to the young men they are today, on September 2, 2025 she transitioned to a better place.

I loved every moment of taking care of my in her last years of life. Some individuals aren't blessed to get the opportunity. Even when she decided to move to a nursing facility, I still never allowed anyone to treat my mother or any other resident as if they didn't matter. I have a new profound and respect for nursing assistants. It is a very difficult job handling multiple patients with the facilities being short staffed amd for those who are in it for the money, choose a different career.

This is only the story of my mother, Peggy King, a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend who lived her life and did what she could with what she had. My only wish to bury her, not cremation. Hopefully, we can empathize with her wishes and make this possible.
