Help Honor Norma Victorino's Memory

Donation protected
On Monday, June 3, 2024 my wife Lee-Ann received a call from Norma Victorino's boyfriend telling her that Norma was rushed to the hospital via ambulance because of extreme head pain that practically left her unable to get out of bed. It was later determined that Norma most likely had a stroke days earlier due to her statement about earlier headaches. While at the hospital emergency room, under the physicians care Norma seemed to be improving to the point that she was communicating with the doctors and moving her extremities. One of the more serious issues at the time was her low blood platelet count making it difficult for her blood to clot and stop the brain bleed. They decided to admit Norma for observation and perform additional tests to include an MRI. Death was not expected at the time.

Later that evening Lee-Ann and Aulani Wersing, another of Norma's friends, went to visit her in the hospital. Norma seemed peaceful as she slept while her sister, brother and boyfriend Derek sat quietly. Not to bother Norma and to let her rest Lee-Ann and Aulani left the hospital looking forward to seeing her the next day. The next morning, at 5am, Lee-Ann received a text from Derek that Norma had passed away at 3am.

Having no children and have been widowed since the passing of her husband Glenn in 2017 we are trying to send her off with love and aloha. Unfortunately her surviving siblings do not have the resources to give her a proper funeral that she deserves. To all who knew Norma, she was not popular but she was loved by many. She was not rich but she had a heart of gold. Being only 66 years old she was just starting to enjoy her retirement after a hard upbringing, splintered family life and much heartbreak.

Everyone deserves to be remembered and to be honored regardless of income or status. A funeral service is one way to do so. A funeral service is also a way for grieving people to gain closure and friends and loved ones to say good-bye. Please help us provide the much deserved funeral that Norma deserves.

Monies raised will be used for cremation and funeral services. Any remaining funds will be donated to the American Heart Association in Norma Victorino's name.
