My father, Nicholas, was well known by everyone in town. He owned an autobody shop and was a social butterfly, always eager to help others. He made sure that everyone who left his shop also left as his friend. Nicholas was a personable man who truly cared about people and the situations they were in. His employees loved him, and his passing has devastated them and all who knew him.
Nicholas battled stage 4 colon cancer for two years, enduring intense chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Throughout his illness, he continued to put his family first, making sure none of us ever had to worry about money. However, because he took care of everything himself and never involved anyone in the financials, we were not prepared for the costs that come with saying goodbye. My mother was also financially dependent on him, which has made this time even more challenging for our family.
We are raising funds to help cover the funeral home costs, including the wake, the casket, and the plot of land. Any support you can give would mean so much to our family during this difficult time. Thank you for considering helping us honor Nicholas's memory.
