Help Honor Nathan Gudeman's Memory

On March 22, 2025, my life was changed forever when my 22 year old son and his girlfriend of six years were brutally attacked in their home. My son did not survive. Friends, family, and strangers have all asked how they can help my family, and so we are opened a GoFundMe account to facilitate monetary donations that people wanted to make. We are so busy but want to say how thankful we are for all of the kind words and donations. We have had a lot of money coming in... Our goal was only 6,000$, but GoFundMe automatically raises it as donations rise. We had no idea that would go beyond our goal amount. We will use the excess for a large, lovely reception, urns and keepsakes, some sort of help for Katy, and we are considering a "skateboard grant" for at risk youth through Nathan's go-to skate shop, or even a memorial ramp at a local park district skatepark. WCIA has reached out for an interview, but I declined. I will release a statement of some sort once we know our funeral expenses and have determined the best way to honour Nathan's memory with what is leftover.
