My mother was a truly remarkable woman—well known in our community for her loving spirit and her willingness to help others, even when she had little herself. Despite facing years of illness, she always managed to keep her spirits high and put everyone else’s needs before her own. For seven long years, she endured dialysis, struggled with severe diabetes, epilepsy, neuropathy, cirrhosis of the liver, and rheumatoid arthritis. Through it all, she never lost her smile and continued to care for those around her.
Her strength was incredible. She stayed with us long enough to celebrate her daughters’ and son’s birthdays and to meet her great-granddaughter. After spending 14 days in Mobile Infirmary and undergoing three surgeries, she was released on a Tuesday. Sadly, just three days later, her heart gave out. Despite the doctors’ efforts, they couldn’t bring her back after her heart stopped for the third time. She leaves behind two children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. My mother was my best friend, and I cared for her during her last two years, even as I helped my own daughter, who recently had a baby.
Unfortunately, my mother did not have life insurance due to her health, and I am now struggling to give her the proper burial and memorial she deserves. Anything donated will go toward her funeral, a memorial, and hopefully a headstone to honor her memory. Any support would mean the world to my family during this very difficult time. I would be grateful for what anyone does for my family and my amazing mother.
Any of the funds that is donated with be used for her wake-funeral and to purchase a casket of any of the money is left I’m donating to her dialysis clinic in Saraland Al , they have always been so wonderful to her
