My mother fought a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer. What started as a small spot on her lung quickly became something much more serious. After many scans and an attempted removal of the left lobe, her doctors decided they couldn’t operate without taking away too much of her lung function. She endured countless rounds of radiation and heavy chemotherapy, but unfortunately, these treatments only made her weaker. At every six-month checkup, the spot continued to grow, eventually spreading to her lymph nodes and the bones in her rib cage, where she suffered a painful crack.


About two months ago, my mother made the difficult decision to stop chemotherapy and focus on living her last days surrounded by hospice, family, and friends. Anyone who knew my mom knows she was one tough cookie—she faced every challenge with strength and grace. She never wanted to leave the burden of burial costs to us, and she tried to secure life insurance through many policies, but was denied due to her condition. Now, I am reaching out for help to give her the burial she truly deserves.


All funds raised will go toward her cremation, burial, and a headstone to honor her memory. If there is anything left over, it will be used to help with house bills during this difficult time.
