Hello, my name is April Himes, Asia’s younger sister. My sister fought a long battle beginning when she was only a teen and now the time has come for her to get her much needed rest. My sister was a ball of energy and had an illuminating personality that lit up every room she walked into. In September of 2022, our world shattered when we lost our mother, and now my world is shattering all over again. To my Asia, my only sister, my best friend, and just about everything else. I can’t believe you left me but I know you’re not hurting anymore sissy. I knew this day was coming, I just didn’t know how soon. I love you more than life itself, and I don’t know how I’ll continue on without you. The one person I could call for any and everything and you’d always come to my rescue. You were the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I thank God I’ve had the pleasure of calling you my sister. Through all the fights and arguments not once did our love for each other ever fade. You raised me and taught me how to be independent and love myself. You always encouraged me to be great and I’ll forever keep my promise to do just that. You knew things about me, that not a single other soul in this world knows. You were always the one person who I knew had my back when it felt like no one else did. You’ve helped me fight battles that I didn’t think I could overcome. I was probably the only person in this world you cared about more than yourself lol. My heart is aching and I’m praying that this is a bad dream that I’ll wake up from. I truly wouldn’t wish pain like this on anyone. Thankful that I got to spend 22 amazing years with you, and thankful that I’ll soon spend the rest of eternity with you A. I love you until the world ends and beyond.
