My husband was a fighter in every sense of the word. For two years, he battled heart failure and pneumonia, spending his last days in the hospital surrounded by family and love. Even in his hardest moments, he never lost faith in God or his devotion to our children. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, and his kindness touched everyone who knew him. We were married for nine years, and every day with him was a blessing.

This March has been especially hard for me. We celebrated our wedding anniversary on March 9th, and just days later, on March 20th, he passed away.
