My grandpa passed away last Friday, March 20th, at the age of 92-almost 93. Up until the day he passed, he was a very active man, still attending church every Sunday, going to the gym, and even driving himself. In his earlier years, he proudly served in the Army National Guard and flew small airplanes for McDonnell Douglas. He was loved by many and always made time for his family and friends. His positive spirit and dedication to his community will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Although my grandpa had life insurance, it did not cover all of the expenses for his burial and memorial service. We are hoping to raise the remainder of the funds needed to give him the respectful farewell he deserves. The money raised will go towards the remaining burial costs, his headstone, and his obituary. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help our family during this difficult time.
Thank you so much for sharing this or donating—we appreciate anything that anyone is able to do. If you are planning to attend the service, you are welcome to donate in lieu of flowers. Your kindness and support mean the world to our family as we honor my grandpa’s memory.
