My grandfather was more than just family—he was the man who raised me and shaped who I am today. He came to the United States from Ireland in the 1960s, determined to build a better life. For over 20 years, he worked hard at Magma Mining, providing for his family and teaching us all the value of dedication and love. When my parents couldn’t be there, he stepped in and became my father figure, guiding me through life’s challenges with patience and wisdom.

His sudden passing has left a huge hole in our hearts. As we try to process this loss, we’re also faced with the reality of final expenses. I want nothing more than to give him the memorial he deserves, but I’m struggling to balance those costs with the need to keep up with rent and bills. Trying to save up would take too long, and I don’t want to delay honoring his memory.
