My father was the best dad I could have ever asked for. He was a devoted Muslim and a loving presence in our family. After suffering a stroke and being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his health declined over the past year. In November, things became even more difficult, and in December, he had another stroke that led to hospice care. The doctors told us there was nothing more they could do, and we had to prepare to say goodbye.

My family and I want to honor my father’s final wishes by giving him a proper Muslim memorial and burial. Unfortunately, he didn’t have life insurance, and the costs are more than we can manage on our own. We have some money set aside, but we are still short of what’s needed to pay for his burial in a Muslim cemetery and the funeral home preparations according to his faith. Times are hard, and it’s been overwhelming to worry about these expenses while grieving such a huge loss.

Anything that anyone can help with would be greatly appreciated and a blessing to us—even a prayer would mean so much right now. I haven’t even been able to grieve for worrying about how to pay for my dad’s burial, and I hate to ask, but we all need help sometimes. Thank you all in advance for your kindness and support.
