On Easter morning, my world changed forever. My father, Terry Harris, who was also my best friend, was taken from us in a senseless act of violence. Just hours before, I had seen him and told him I loved him. His last words to me were, 'I love you too, son.' The pain of losing him so suddenly is something I can hardly put into words.

My father touched so many lives in the best of ways. He was a self-taught mobile mechanic, always ready to help anyone in need. He would give the last of anything he had, and he wouldn't even hurt a fly. He was caring, loving, and had the biggest heart. He was the most forgiving person I knew, always trying to see the best in everyone and everything. Even though he faced many struggles, he never let them stop him from achieving what he set his mind and heart to.
