Many of you in the community may know me from Facebook or by word of mouth, and you may have heard about my dad's illness during my recent break from my baking business. My father was a hardworking man all his life and rarely ever asked for help. After my mother unexpectedly passed away ten years ago, he raised me and my brother by himself. He was 78 years old, with a loving heart, a strong will, and more bravery than anyone I know. He truly was the best dad I could have ever asked for.

In the beginning of February, my father began to decline mentally. By early March, his health had deteriorated so quickly that he was unable to walk, could barely speak, and refused hygiene care, medications, and even food or water. I did my best to care for him, but I was already struggling physically and financially after a car accident in January left me unemployed and paying for a rental vehicle. During the last few weeks of his life, a friend of mine, Ashley, opened her heart and home to care for him, as she had experience with dementia and could provide the support he needed when I could not. My father passed away in the early hours of March 24th, 2026.

Now, I am asking for help to cover the costs of his cremation and any expenses related to his passing. The financial burden has been overwhelming, and any support would mean the world to me and my family as we try to honor his memory and lay him to rest.
