Last night, my father passed away at 8:15 pm after a battle with lung cancer that had spread to his kidneys, lymph nodes, and brain. By the time we learned what he was facing, he was already slipping away, and I am grateful that he didn’t have to endure the pain of knowing about his illness. My dad was a loving, strong presence in our lives, and losing him so quickly has left our family heartbroken.
As we try to process this loss, I want nothing more than to give my dad the proper send-off he deserves—something beautiful that honors his memory and the love he gave us. My mom is already carrying so much, and I don’t want her to worry about how we’ll afford the funeral and memorial expenses. I know my dad would want her to be cared for, and it would make him proud to see us come together to support her now.
If I can gather enough support to cover these costs, it would be the last great thing I could do for him. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us celebrate his life and give him the farewell he deserves. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
