My dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis about a month ago, and we truly believed we had more time with him—at least another half a year. Early this morning, we got the heartbreaking news that he had passed away. Our family is struggling financially, and there’s so much we need to prepare for in such a short time. I want to give my dad an official ceremony to honor his memory and raise funds for his cremation. The cost of cremation alone is significant, and on top of that, my dad had a car in his name that I would love to keep and maintain in his honor. The remaining balance on the car is a big burden for us right now, and our family is already in the negatives with our finances.

My dad didn’t have much to leave us besides his bubbly personality and the memories we shared. He was always a character, bringing light and laughter to our lives. He didn’t receive many benefits from his job, so we’re left trying to manage these expenses on our own. Having these burdens relieved and being able to keep something he left behind would mean everything to us.

I just want people to know that my dad existed and was here on this earth. He was so important to me, and I want to honor his memory in every way I can.
