On December 29, 2025, my family received the devastating news that my dad had pancreatic cancer. We were scheduled to see an oncologist on January 16, but before we could make it to that appointment, he was admitted to the hospital and passed away on January 17, 2026. The loss was sudden and heartbreaking, and I am still coming to terms with how quickly everything changed.

I believed my dad had a life insurance policy that would help cover his funeral expenses, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Now, I am struggling to afford the costs of his services and to have his body flown back to Sacramento, where he wished to be laid to rest. The transportation and funeral services in California are more than I can manage on my own. Thankfully, his burial plot is already paid for, but I need help with the remaining expenses.

I took care of my dad until the end of his life, just as I did for my mom six years ago. My dad always said he never wanted to be cremated, and I am determined to honor his wishes. I was his sole caregiver, and because I had to take time off work to care for him, my income is very limited right now. Any support would mean so much to me and would help me let him rest peacefully and respectfully.
