After years of searching and hoping, I finally found my brother again, only to learn that he had

passed away.

For nearly a decade, I had not seen him. He had been living homeless in Stockton, California,

struggling through hardships while still hoping to one day make it back home to Quincy to reunite

with his children and family.

On May 17th, he was taken to the hospital after suffering a devastating gunshot injury. He passed

away on May 21st, his birthday. That was also the day I received the heartbreaking call and finally

got my brother back after all these years.

No family should ever have to experience something like this.

Right now, we are trying to give him the dignity, peace, and memorial he deserves. Unfortunately,

neither his father nor I are financially prepared for the unexpected funeral and cremation

expenses. We are asking for help so we can bring our family together, honor his life properly, and

allow his children the opportunity to say goodbye to their father.

Our immediate goal is to help cover:

• Cremation expenses

• Memorial and funeral service costs

• Transportation and final arrangements

• Keepsake ashes for his two young daughters so they can always have a part of their daddy close

to them

My brother was more than the struggles he faced. He was deeply loved. He was a father, a son,

my best friend, and someone who deserved another chance at life.

Losing him after years apart has been incredibly painful, but being able to lay him to rest with

dignity would bring our family some peace and closure during this heartbreaking time.
