Mikey was quiet around most people, but to those who truly knew him, he had a kind soul and an infinite goofiness that always made people smile and laugh. He was fiercely loyal and honest, never hesitating to stand up for the people he cared about. His presence brought warmth and laughter, and his love was felt deeply by everyone close to him.

After Thanksgiving, Mikey suffered a severe asthma attack and was rushed to the hospital. He was placed on a ventilator, and doctors discovered he had contracted rhinovirus, which made his asthma worse. Despite the care he received, Mikey faced more complications, including pneumonia. He fought bravely for two and a half weeks, but in the early hours of December 17th, he went into cardiac arrest. The medical team tried everything they could for 45 minutes, but Mikey passed away at 3:42am.

We want to honor Mikey’s memory with a viewing and service, giving his friends and family a chance to say goodbye and celebrate his life. If we can’t manage a full service, we hope to at least have a viewing so everyone who loved him can see his face one last time.
