Our family is heartbroken after the sudden and tragic loss of Megan Denise Taylor, who was taken from us in a shooting in north Minneapolis on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Megan was a wife, a mother, and a loved member of our family. She and her husband, Allen Taylor Jr., shared multiple children together, and their family has now been forever changed by this senseless tragedy. Megan was not looking for trouble. She was not part of the conflict that led to this tragedy. From what our family understands, Megan had gone to the area to meet with someone she knew and was preparing to leave when the situation around her escalated. Allen was also there and tried to help get Megan and another person away from danger when gunfire erupted. Megan was killed, and Allen was shot multiple times. By the grace of God, Allen survived and was not hit in any vital areas, but he now faces a long physical, emotional, and mental recovery while also grieving the loss of his wife and the mother of his children. This tragedy has devastated our family. Megan’s children now have to move forward without their mother, and Allen has to recover from his injuries while carrying an unimaginable loss. Megan was at the wrong place at the wrong time and became an innocent victim of violence that should have never happened. We are raising funds to help with funeral and memorial expenses, support for Megan and Allen’s children, family needs, travel costs, and the unexpected expenses that come with losing someone so suddenly. Any support, whether through a donation, prayer, or simply sharing this fundraiser, means more than words can explain. Please keep Megan, Allen, their children, and our entire family in your prayers as we grieve, heal, and seek justice for Megan. Thank you for standing with our family during this painful time.
