Hello, my name is Nick Hernandez, and I'm reaching out to ask for help in raising funds for my mother, Maria Juarez's burial headstone. Mom was a woman who loved God and her family. She enjoyed dancing, getting her hair styled, and loved to eat Mexican-style bread (pan dulce) with coffee. Mom worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) for 28 years at Shafter Convalescent Hospital in Shafter, California. During her final years, Mom lived with me in the Bay Area. However, she made it clear that she wanted to be buried with her mother in Bakersfield, California. We fulfilled Mom's final wishes and buried her with her mother, Felicitas Meza, at Union Cemetery in Bakersfield, California.
When we initially raised funds for Mom's funeral services, I was under the impression that the headstone was included in the burial costs. However, I only recently discovered that her burial expenses did not include her headstone. So when I visited Mom's burial site, I was extremely disappointed and hurt to witness that Mom had no headstone and there were dead flowers marking her burial site. I vowed to my mother that I would fix this and get her the beautiful headstone that she deserves. Therefore, I am reaching out to ask for your help to purchase a headstone for my mother. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering.
Sincerely, Nick Hernandez
