It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my grandmother, Maria Jimenez. She is finally at rest after battling chronic kidney and heart failure. My grandmother was one of the most interesting, bold, honest, loving, and hardworking people I’ve ever known. She had countless amazing stories, everything from planting berries near a river to make hunting deer easier, to sharing unforgettable ghost stories, to her journey of making it to the United States. She endured a very difficult childhood and even harder teenage years, yet she remained a joyful person who brought light and laughter to everyone she met. She raised four generations of good people, and to me and my cousins, she was more than a grandmother, she was our mother. She will be immensely missed by all of us, our family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched. We are raising funds to help cover her funeral expenses. Our family is also coming together through additional efforts, including contributions and upcoming fundraisers such as car washes and food sales, which will be announced soon. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering her funeral costs and supporting our family during this difficult time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean so much to us. Thank you in advance, on behalf of myself, my mother, and our entire family.
