Marguerite Crowell was my world when I was a little boy. She was always there for me, offering love, support, and kindness through every stage of my life. Even after she moved to Sacramento when I was about 22, and our visits became less frequent, she never stopped being there for me when I needed her most. Marguerite was not only a loving mother but also a wonderful grandmother, always caring and generous with her time and affection.
The past few years have been incredibly hard for me and my family. I’ve lost my brother, my 27-year-old son, my father, my mother-in-law, and then three weeks ago my stepfather passed while my mom was in rehab for a foot problem from a surgical procedure which pretty much left her by herself. So we planned on her coming here in February to stay with us in Tennessee and she passed two days later. The emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming, and I find myself in a position I never expected—needing to ask for help. I want to give my mother the farewell she deserves, but I’m struggling to cover the funeral expenses and the cost of flights for myself and my wife to travel to Sacramento to say our goodbyes.
I’m not the type of person who usually asks for help, but right now, I truly need it. Any support you can offer, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser, would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you for considering helping us honor Marguerite’s memory and allowing us to be there for her one last time.
