My beloved grandmother, Margarita, recently walked on to meet the creator, leaving a profound void in our family’s lives. She was a deeply spiritual woman and a guiding light to many others who found themselves walking difficult paths. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering compassion touched countless lives. Margarita was always ready with a listening ear, gentle guidance, and words of comfort for anyone who needed them. This past year was especially difficult for her after the loss of her husband of more than 30 years. Now, as our family grieves her passing, we feel the weight of losing not only our grandmother but also our connection to so much of our culture, history, and family traditions. She was a source of strength and inspiration not just for our family, but for the wider community that loved her.

As we navigate this painful time, we are reaching out for support to help cover the costs of her cremation and memorial services. In addition, there are outstanding bills and probate costs for the things she has left behind. The financial responsibility has become overwhelming and is more than my Aunt Kathryn and I can manage alone. Our goal is to honor my Grandmother’s life with the dignity and farewell she deserves while also settling her affairs with care and respect.
