Help Honor Marcia Xiong's Legacy

It is with great sadness that our beloved sister, Marcia Gail Xiong, unexpectedly passed away on June 28, 2025. Marcia was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She loved and talked about her nieces and nephews a lot. For those who were near, they got a chance to spend time with the best of her. As we come to terms with Marcia’s passing, we are also faced with the difficulties of her funeral arrangements.

My name is Va Xiong. I am one of the siblings who lost a beloved sister, Marcia Xiong, to ovarian cancer. Marcia had been battling cancer for the last two years. It was a rough battle and unfortunately, with every new turn, there was always bad news. She not only faced tough times but also received bad news, one after another. Marcia went through several surgeries to remove the masses, but her kidneys also started to fail. After several rounds of chemo and several surgeries, it evidently metastasized to her colon as well. Although there seemed to be a dark cloud following her, Marcia never gave up hope. She fought and clung onto every little hope that she had left. I remember talking to her the night before losing her. She was very positive and did not have any complaints. We joked and we laughed before saying goodnight. We lost her unexpectedly and unfortunately too early. She was only 44 years old.

Marcia won the title of “Coolest Aunt”. She adored all her nieces and nephews. They all enjoyed her company and miss her dearly. She loved to craft and spend time with the kids. The kids found her place to be a safe haven with lots of love and warmth. They were never bored at her place. Her final wish would have been a great legacy, but it was never written down. For those who knew her, she was always there to lend a helping hand – no matter how big or small that request was, her tiny hands would always be there to support at any weight. Her kindness and generosity made a lasting impact on those around her.

We are reaching out to family and friends for their support. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow the family to focus on the grieving stage. Your generosity will help us honor our beautiful sister in a meaningful way. We also appreciate any thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
