Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of our family after the loss of my mother, Linda Rose Rodriguez (née Risafi) (02/01/1950). Her passing was unexpected, and we’re currently handling the immediate costs for cremation and final arrangements. All funds will be managed by me (Tony) and my sister, Kirby Morgan (née Rodriguez), and used only for these expenses and the future memorial trip. We’re heartbroken, but we’re trying to honor her the right way.

My parents met in Puerto Rico. My father, Hector Antonio Rodriguez, was born there and it was always a place close to their hearts. He passed away in 1999, and my mother never remarried—he was the love of her life. Our plan is to have her cremated now, and in the future take a trip to Puerto Rico to scatter her ashes alongside his, so they can be together again.

Linda spent her life helping people. She worked for many years as a Benefits Director for companies including Office Depot, Western Digital, Winn-Dixie, Burdines, Macy’s, and AMB. She moved all around—Florida, California, Hawaii, and more—and she touched so many lives in a positive way wherever she went. She was a living angel and a saint, the kind of person who gave what she could to anyone who needed it. Because of that, she was left with very little money when she passed.

We truly don’t want to beg or pressure anyone. We’re sharing this because several people have asked how they can help, and the expenses came quickly and unexpectedly. We also don’t yet know whether she had life insurance or any after-death benefits, so we’re taking it one step at a time.

If you’re able to contribute, any amount helps, and funds will go toward:

• Cremation and funeral home expenses

• Permits/certificates and related fees

• Memorial/arrangement costs

• Travel expenses for the future trip to Puerto Rico to honor her wishes
