It’s with a heavy heart I write that Linda Lee transitioned Monday morning at St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard, CA, with her two kids by her side. Renee and Larry Lee’s mother succumbed to liver failure as a result of stage 4 bone and breast cancer. Although Mrs. Lee had been battling cancer for years, the death was sudden and came to us as a surprise.
In Buddhist tradition, the dead must be buried through ceremony within seven days of the death.
We humbly ask for assistance during this difficult time to cover the cost of the ceremony, to pay the monks, transportation for the remains, and cremation process.
The pandemic has had a crippling effect on the family business, and financial matters have been complicated due to the recent divorce of Renee and Larry’s parents.
We remember Mrs. Lee (Linda) as a kind, happy, loving, and funny mother who was a survivor of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. She was a fighter and a lover and always managed to make us laugh.
The following is a break down cost of everything needed:
$439 (permit for travel) + $2,000 (monk and temple service) + $3,641 (cremation process and ceremony) = $6,080 total.
Any financial aid will be much appreciated as we mourn the loss of the family matriarch.
Thank you
