Virgil Lee Thompson was a father, brother, son, and friend to many. Born on June 5th, 1982, he was the centerpiece of our family and a true hero in every sense. Lee was a devoted father to his four beautiful children: Nathaniel, Leighandra, Aleigha, and Kaleya. He was a beast of a journeyman plumber, always proud of his work and even prouder of his family. Lee loved making everyone laugh, often saying the wildest things just to bring a smile to your face. He lived for his family and would go to any length to protect them. He loved the Lord and his son Jesus Christ, and his faith was a guiding light in his life.
Tragically, Lee lost his life on March 22, 2026, trying to protect his family during a PTSD-related incident. His bravery and selflessness were unmatched—he truly was a hero. Lee would help anyone in need, day or night, and he loved to brag about his children. He was the heart of our family, and his loss has left a void that can never be filled.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will go toward funeral costs, memorial services, and supporting Lee’s children as they navigate life without their father. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated and will help us honor Lee’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves. Thank you for your kindness and support.
