My name is Lavonia Evans, and on behalf of my mother, Florence, and our family, I am starting this GoFundMe for our beloved sister, daughter, and friend, Laverne Hill, who passed away from breast cancer on August 14, 2025.

Laverne was diagnosed in 2020 and faced that awful disease bravely and quietly. She had just celebrated her 46th birthday on August 28.

As many of you know, it is often very difficult, and sometimes impossible, to obtain affordable life insurance when living with a chronic illness. Unfortunately, Laverne did not have life insurance.

We are raising funds to help with her funeral and burial expenses. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated by our family during this difficult time.
