Kristie Adkins was a beautiful soul with a full life ahead of her. She was working hard to get her life together and was loved deeply by her family and friends. On the morning of her passing, Kristie was fatally killed by a stray bullet when Tuscaloosa County deputies fired recklessly into a tent while attempting to serve a misdemeanor warrant on her brother. Her sudden and tragic loss has left her family heartbroken and struggling to cope with the unimaginable grief.

The family is now facing the overwhelming task of arranging Kristie’s funeral and honoring her memory. Funds are needed for all expenses related to her funeral, and plans will be forthcoming depending on when the State completes its autopsy and releases her body to the family. During this incredibly difficult time, any support will help ease the burden and allow Kristie’s loved ones to focus on healing and remembering her for the vibrant, loving person she was.
