Our beloved Kimberly Sassman Cain, our Nana, recently died from a self-inflicted gunshot on January 29th, 2022. This sudden, tragic loss of Kim has left a huge hole in the family. Kim was a sister, mother, and friend who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind her husband Billy Cain Jr, three daughters, Candace, Ashley, and Kali, and her grandchildren Emily and Gabriel.
Kim dedicated her life to Christ and her daughters. After serving in the Coast Guard, she lived freely and always touched those around her with a beautiful smile, love for life, and a laugh that echoed to bring joy.
We are all devastated by Kim’s loss and the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Kim the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory, both as a Mother and a Veteran, so that we may say our last goodbyes.
I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Kim’s funeral. We need to raise $9,000 by Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, to afford the funeral service.
Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
