My husband, Kevin Pearson, was an incredible person of faith who brought positivity and encouragement to everyone he met. He was always the first to move, to take risks, and to show love in his own unique way. Kevin was blunt and direct, but his honesty was always paired with deep care for those around him. He made it his mission to check in with friends and family daily, spreading hope and motivation wherever he went.
Kevin faced many challenges in his life, including struggling with PTSD after spending much of his life incarcerated. Despite these hardships, he never let them define him. Instead, he chose to live with freedom and positivity until the very end. His strength and resilience inspired so many, and his absence has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him.
On February 16th, Kevin passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack. I didn’t find out until the next morning, and since then, I have been doing everything I can to honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves. The costs to release his body from the coroner, arrange for his cremation, and hold a celebration of life in the Bay Area are more than I can manage alone. I am reaching out for help so I can bring Kevin home and celebrate the incredible person he was. Any support you can give means the world to me. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
