Hi all. It saddens me to inform you that my father has passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and friends, on Sunday, March 16th. As most of you know, my father was suffering from COPD and emphysema for the longest time. Two weeks ago, we got some terrible news that he had bone cancer in his back, and his back had broken where the cancer was. He started declining quickly, and it broke us as a family. He wanted one thing out of all this suffering, and it was to be back home in the house he built. My mother and I made that happen for him, and we couldn’t have done it without the wonderful support team on hospice for having our back.
In this tough time for our family, I’d like to reach out for help with the expenses of cremation, a service or gathering, etc., as these last few months have been tough. My dad was the best man I ever knew. He taught myself and so many others so many things we will all cherish forever. Not only was he a great teacher to many, he was an outstanding father, husband, friend, and dog dad to Rebel Rose. We will miss his courageous, soulful personality, the genuine laughs, and deep conversations. Can’t forget his daily visits to Dunkin' and chatting with whomever for hours. This man had a heart of gold, and it kills us he is no longer here, but he forever will be in spirit. Kenny, daddy, captain, beatnik, MacGyver, our rock - you will forever be in our hearts.
Thank you all who have been there and reached out the last couple of days and the last few weeks nonetheless and continue to do so. Words can’t explain how grateful we are for that.
