Kelly was 38 years old. On Sunday, April 19th, she began experiencing shortness of breath and passing out. She tried to tough it out, thinking it would go away, but on Tuesday night she went to the hospital ER. After tests and labs, the hospital found nothing wrong and was preparing to discharge her. Suddenly, she had a seizure and her heart stopped. Despite over an hour of CPR, Kelly passed away at 8:15 AM on April 22, 2026.

Kelly had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a joke. I remember when I was training to leave for the Army in 2000, and she was just 13. We would jog around the block together, and one day a little dog chased her, nipping at her ankles. She was scared at the time, but we laughed about it for years.
