Joni Leigh Brown, my sister, was tragically murdered on June 8, 2026, at the age of 40. Born and raised in Sonoma County, Joni was a loving mother to two children—a daughter and a son. She was known for her adventurous spirit, her deep love for her pitbulls, and her passion for saving bumblebees. Joni was always ready to lend a hand, and she helped out during the 2017 fires in Sonoma County, showing her commitment to her community and those in need.
Our family is heartbroken by her sudden loss. We are currently raising funds to cover the remaining costs of her burial and to provide a headstone so her children and family can honor her memory. Joni’s kindness, courage, and love for the outdoors will always be remembered by those who knew her. We want to give her the farewell she deserves and create a lasting tribute for her children to visit.
It would mean a lot if you’re able to help donate money towards the remaining cost of her burial and for her children and family to get a headstone for her. Your support will help us honor Joni’s life and legacy, and bring comfort to her loved ones during this difficult time.
