My father, John Eric Humphrey, was a longtime baseball coach in our community. He touched the lives of many kids, including my friends and younger generations, always showing a good heart and doing his best for others. He loved his wife deeply, who passed away a year and a half ago, and despite battling stage 4 COPD for the last year and a half, he continued to try to do the right thing and support those around him.
He passed away suddenly, and I am now facing unexpected costs to honor his final wishes. I am between paychecks and do not have much to offer at this time, so any support would mean the world to me. My dad wanted to be cremated and have his ashes spread at his favorite part of Myrtle Beach, and I am determined to fulfill that wish. The funds raised will help cover his cremation, the trip, and everything needed to follow his wishes.
Anything you can offer will have my deepest gratitude. As the last member of my family, I am the only one to take care of this. Whatever you can give, whether it's a dollar or a hundred dollars, will make a difference. Thank you for considering helping me honor my dad and give him the farewell he deserves.
