It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and devastating loss of my dear father, Jim Spradlin, who passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Dad was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Losing him has left us heartbroken and struggling to say goodbye in the way he truly deserves.

We are planning a small basic grave side service to celebrate Dad's life on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. This will be a time for us to gather, share memories, and honor him in a small way.

However, we are facing an unexpected financial burden that has made this even more difficult. Dad had life insurance in place to help cover some of these costs, but he passed just three days short of a key policy date, so we are not able to receive the full payout we were counting on. The total funeral and burial expenses remaining have come to $17,384 (including the GoFundMe fees), and we are reaching out for support.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward giving Dad the dignified farewell he deserves: covering the costs of the graveside service, casket, and other minimal arrangements at Oaklawn Cemetery. Every dollar brings us closer to easing this burden and allowing us to focus on grieving and remembering the joy he brought to our lives.
