My name is Raymond, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times my family has faced. My mother, Jill Mann, was a truly special woman—she would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She was 72 years old and lived on social security in a small apartment, always putting others before herself.
Recently, Jill suffered a major stroke that led to a brain aneurysm. The doctors did everything they could, including surgery to drain the blood and place a stent, but she wasn’t able to recover. She was pronounced brain dead, and our family had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. Losing her right before the holidays has made this even more difficult for all of us.
I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, but I’m doing everything I can to give my mom the respectful farewell she deserves. The funds raised will go directly toward her cremation, and any extra will help my little brother with bills as he tries to keep their apartment for a while longer. He’s always been by her side, and now he’s feeling lost without her. I’ve promised to help him as much as I can, but right now, we need a little help from our community. Please don’t feel obligated, but know that any support you can give means the world to us. Thank you for reading and for caring about our family.
